Short answer: yes, if you want a prompt while the sales call runs. RepSidecar is a live sales call coach for founders who sell on an Apple Silicon Mac. It is built to show one short card at a time during the call, in the method you pick. Fathom is an AI note-taker that “summarizes your meetings” and has a free plan. RepSidecar is not released yet.
- Who RepSidecar is for: founders who do founder-led sales, and solo reps, who run their own sales calls on an Apple Silicon Mac.
- What is different: RepSidecar is built to tell you what to ask next during the call. Fathom’s main job is notes and summaries. Its home page also lists “real-time coaching moments”, and its structured data describes live summaries.
- RepSidecar price: planned at $39 a month, or $29 a month billed yearly ($348 a year). Fathom has a free plan, “Free forever”, and paid plans on its pricing page.
- RepSidecar trial: planned at 14 days, up to 10 calls, no card. Fathom’s Premium, Team and Business plans show “start free trial”. The trial length is not published.
What is RepSidecar?
RepSidecar is a live sales call coach for founders who sell on an Apple Silicon Mac. It is built to listen to your call on your Mac and show one short coaching card at a time, in the method you pick. RepSidecar is not released yet.
Design, not yet tested. Each line below will be tested and dated before launch.
It is built to transcribe audio on this Mac. After the call, it is built to write a wrap: pain, buyer, next step and what you owe. Try a sample card to see what one looks like.
Planned founding price: $29 a month, locked with no end date while your subscription stays active, for the first 100 subscriptions. A $29 reservation is planned and not open yet. When reservations open, your $29 covers your first month. When the build ships, you choose: start your $29 a month subscription, or take a full refund. Nothing is charged again unless you say yes. If you subscribe, founding is billed monthly; the yearly plan is $348 up front, which works out to $29 a month.

When is Fathom the better pick?
Fathom is the better pick when you want notes from every meeting, at no cost. Pick Fathom in these cases:
- You want free meeting notes. Fathom’s free plan lists unlimited recordings and instant call summaries.
- You want notes for every meeting, not only sales calls.
- You want notes and action items sent to tools such as Slack, Salesforce and HubSpot. Fathom lists these on its home page.
- You manage a team and want AI scorecards and coaching metrics.
- You want a product you can use today, or an iOS app. RepSidecar is not released yet.
When is RepSidecar the better pick?
RepSidecar is built for the moment inside the call, not the notes after it. Pick RepSidecar in these cases:
- You want one short prompt during the call, such as the next question to ask.
- You want each prompt in the sales method you pick, or in your own notes. See methods.
- You want one card at a time, with the reason shown, so the screen stays quiet.
- You want a tool where no bot joins your call. Fathom also offers bot-free capture, as a Mac beta.
What does RepSidecar not do?
RepSidecar has limits, and they matter for this choice.
- RepSidecar is not released yet. Every line about it on this page describes the design, not a tested result.
- RepSidecar is one plan for one person. It has no manager view and no team plan.
- RepSidecar is for Apple Silicon Macs and is US only at launch.
- RepSidecar can miss context. You are the one on the call.
How did we check these facts?
